sorry!

I have been a terrible updater. But what a weekend I've had! I know I said i wouldn't do this, but THIS TIME IT'S PERSONAL.

My beloved Starks, up to his whiskers with the kittens I have been harboring, ran away this weekend! As I'm sure you can imagine I was DISTRAUGHT with a capital d-i-s-t-r-a-u-g-h-t, and i'll throw in the rest of the alphabet. I'm sure it can spell some pretty accurate words describing the condition I was in. I wasn't sleeping, eating, none of those things you do to exist. But thank God he was found. Our wonderful sweet neighbor made a sign saying he had found a cat. We immediately ran over there where he informed us he had given him to his neighbor because Starks didn't get along with one of his dogs. I wanted to say I can't believe Starks got along with either of your dogs, are you sure we're talking about the same cat? But I was in too much of a panic. He went on to say that he gave Starks to his neighbor and we should call her. We did and she didn't pick up. I went home not able to concentrate until we heard back from her. It was then I noticed on the paper she had left her number on, that she had also scribbled this "information": "David: Sometimes I let this cat out because I have no box for bath." Hmmm. that doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I wonder where she's from, what her life is like, if we'll become the best of friends because of this whole crazy blessing in a disguise experience, and then: SOMETIMES SHE LETS MY CAT BACK OUT ON THE STREET??? Brett assured me he was sure she just didn't speak English well (oh really?) and she didn't actually mean "sometimes". Well who could be sure? So I called this woman 52 times until she picked up (okay THREE) and she informs me that in fact SHE LET MY CAT BACK OUT ON THE STREET! There was no sometimes about it! She just let him back out! I wanted to kill her, or at the very least curse her and any children she may have (not to mention pets) but I had no time for that, i had to find my cat. So we called David again to tell him to be on the lookout and he said that his dog was barking a lot in the direction of the storage closet. We went down there and in fact Frida, his dog, found Starks in the back of the closet! Day saved! Cat found! Neighbor cursed! Alright, not that last part but phew! And now he has to wear an adorable collar making him the envy of all the cats in the neighborhood.

I promise if I make another personal post it will not be soley cat related.
